What is the AR Virtual Try-On feature?
The AR Try-On uses Augmented Reality technology to simulate the experience of wearing glasses in real time using your device’s camera. It detects your facial features and overlays the selected frames to show how they would look on your face.
Is the try-on effect realistic and accurate?
Yes. Our AR try-on technology, powered by FittingBox, provides a highly realistic simulation of frame size, angle, and positioning. While it cannot replicate the weight or material feel, the visual representation is very close to what you’d see in-store.
Do I need to download an app or plugin to use it?
No. Our AR Try-On runs directly in your browser. You only need to allow camera access—no additional downloads or installations are required.
Is the try-on feature safe to use? Will it compromise my privacy?
Absolutely safe. Your camera feed is used only for live rendering during the session. No images or data are stored or transmitted. The technology provider, FittingBox, complies with strict GDPR privacy standards.
Can I try on glasses while wearing my current pair?
Yes. The system can still accurately detect your facial features even if you are wearing your current glasses. There’s no need to take them off to use the try-on feature.
How can I adjust my PD (pupillary distance) for a more accurate try-on?
You can manually input or adjust your PD value during the try-on session. This ensures that the optical center of the frames aligns properly with your pupils, helping you see a more accurate fit.
Why do the glasses sometimes appear to float or shift during try-on?
This may happen due to lighting conditions or camera limitations. For best results, face the camera directly in a well-lit environment, and ensure your face is unobstructed for optimal detection.
Can I save or share my try-on results?
Yes! You can take screenshots during your try-on session and share them with friends via social media or messaging apps. We’re also working on a “save & compare” feature coming soon.
What devices and browsers support AR Try-On?
The try-on feature is compatible with most modern smartphones (iPhone and Android) and desktop browsers such as Chrome and Safari. For best performance, we recommend using the latest version of your browser and operating system.
What if I try on glasses virtually, purchase them, but find they don’t suit me?
No worries. We offer a friendly return and exchange policy. If your glasses don’t meet your expectations, just reach out to our support team—we’ll be happy to help with a return or replacement.
